About Destination
Kodaikanal is a hill station which is located in Dindigul district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. Its name in the Tamil language means "The Gift of the Forest". Kodaikanal is referred to as the "Princess of Hill stations" and has a long history as a retreat and tourist destination.
Kodaikanal was established in 1845 as a refuge from the high temperatures and tropical diseases of the plains. Much of the local economy is based on the hospitality industry serving tourism. As of 2011, the city had a population of 36,501.

About Hotel
Set high in the hills of Kodaikanal, The Tamara Kodai provides a luxury, heritage experience unlike any other. More than 2,000 meters (6,500 ft) above sea level is a picturesque luxury Kodaikanal hotel dating back to the 1840s. The building itself was originally called Baynes Bungalow owned by British District Judge, Mr. Baynes. One of the first few houses to be built in the region, Baynes Bungalow was sold to Father Louis Cyr in 1860, when it was renovated and reopened as La Providence. This stunning building was used as a rest houses for priests of Nagapattinam.

Outside both halls is a pre-event reception area for drinks and snacks before the evening’s main events.
- Puliyan Hall : At 1700 square feet, this large hall can be arranged for any of your business’ needs, right from theatre style seating (for 200 people) and round table arrangements (94 people) to boardroom (50 people), reception type seating (188 people) or any other kind of arrangements, depending on the needs of the event.
- Paliyan Hall : At a smaller 365 square feet, this hall is perfect for smaller events, board meetings, or team briefings, equipped to handle any requirements.

Confirmation and Cancellation Policy
- Booking confirmation subject to availability at the time of making advance payment.
- Confirmation of reservations is Cancellation / Postponement made 07 days prior the check-in date, No cancellation charges.
- Any Cancellation / Postponement made within 07 days to check-in, 100% of the bill value will be levied.
- No show & Early check-out charge 100% full amount.
Terms and Conditions
- Room tariff shall be same for single and double occupancy.
- Meals included in the packages will be served at La Providence – the Multi-Cuisine restaurant.
- Meals included in the package cannot be redeemed through in-room dinning services.
- Our suites are ideally designed for a family of three people.
- In-room dining services and shall be charged as per the menu kept in the room (Timings from 08:00am to 09:30pm)
- Original Govt. validated ID proof with Photo of all the guests travelling to the resort is required at the time of Check-In
- We request our guest to carry Nylon swimsuit, Cream and Lotion Kit. Swimsuits are also available at our curio shop at Verandah on additional cost.
- We request you to make prior appointment for any experience such as a trek or yoga session, or alter the suggested schedule that will be given to you at the time of Check-in to suit your convenience.
- Some of the activities such as the bird-watching trail for instance are subject to season and weather conditions.
- Our Bar, ‘Bistro 1845’ can’t serve alchoholic beverage / liquor as off now. In-House guest can buy liquor from outside and have it only in the room, and not in public area. This is valid upto further notification on comenity of liquor.
- Food from outside and pets are not allowed in the resort.
